Even with the smaller front sprocket I could still manage 145km/h top end.The DRZ I rode was properly jetted, free flow, etc and I managed to get up to 198 km/ph (not the smartest thing ever), I am fairly light though.ĭo you know how the XT runs if properly jetted, free flow etc? My DRZ was properly jetted, had an open pipe and a 14T front sprocket - one down from the standard 15T - and I could pull a 1200GS between lights. If you don't mind ordering form overseas than there are millions of accesories available for the DRZ. The both have proven, reliable power plants. The XT is a little more sedate - still heaps of fun though. The DRZ is in a higher state of tune than the XT and if properly jetted with carb solenoid and PAIR valve removed it is definately more 'twitchy' which is a good thing it you're a bit of a hooligan. Even the in stock form it is quicker than the XT between lights. The DRZ is much lighter though and if properly jetted runs rings around the XT. The Xt660's engine is very differently tuned and it better suited for longer distances than the DRZ.
